Former Vice Chancellor Of Mumbai University Joins Jaro Education

It is our immense pleasure to welcome Prof. Dr. Vijay Khole,  Ex. Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University and a member of University Grants Commission (UGC) on becoming a part of Jaro Education. A brilliant educationist with more than 40years of experience in education sector, Dr. Khole is known for his distinguished research career and an excellent experience of initiating and implementing several academic programs.

With an outstanding combination of commendable academic career with marvelous achievements, Dr. Khole has developed in a way to become a vital asset in the education field. He has completed his education upto post-graduation level in University of Pune and further in 1981 went to USSR to complete his Ph.D. in Bio-Physics from Supreme Attestation Commission, Moscow.

Along with exclusive 26years of teaching experience at post graduate level, Dr. Khole has published 60 inter-disciplinary research papers in national and international journals on dimensions like Bio-Physics. He has earned extensive and intense international exposure which has resulted in his exemplary contributions in introducing several reforms and concepts in academics. 

Some of the major academic contributions of Dr. Khole includes – Department of Information Technology’s establishment that conducts several under-graduate and post-graduate programs. He has chaired and been a member of State Level Committees like Planning Commission, National Assessment and Accreditations Council, Higher and Technical Education Department, All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HR and several other reputed ministries of the country. He was fortunate to work with one of the high-esteemed institutions like Institute of Nuclear Physics. 

Being the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, Dr. Khole has enormously benefited the University of Mumbai which is one of the most prestigious universities worldwide, and had also been chosen for similar positions in renowned universities like D.Y.Patil Deemed University (New Mumbai), Pondicherry University (Pondicherry), University of Science and Technology, Dubai (U.A.E.) and many others.

From his rich experience in education and academic administration, he has brought instrumental transformation in the education industry. Dr. Khole has profoundly empathized with students and has introduced diverse courses with global and professional importance. His contribution on issues like higher education practices and policies and has played major role in accreditations of university, colleges and institutions.
